What’s up Nerds! So this week of #NowistheTime I’m talking all about movies and T.V. shows. So I wanted to start off light with a super cute live action and animation short called Once Upon a Studio.
To sum it up Disney is celebrating 100 years of Disney Animation and Mickey and Minnie want to get everyone together to take a group photo. And when I say everyone, I mean every since Disney animated character. I was so impressed at all the characters that were included. I mean they even had characters from The Black Cauldron the most infamous of Disney movies. You of course got to see the Disney Princesses with my favorite Tiana making her grand entrance right at the beginning. Along with classics like Peter Pan, Aladdin and The Rescuers. If Disney wanted to play on our collective nostalgia they won. I couldn’t begin to describe all the characters that I knew and remembered. Seeing them come together with brand new characters that I’ve met along the way did something to my heart. Now Disney has not always been on the right side of arguments and they’ve done questionable things as well, not denying that at all. It was just cool to relive my childhood before my eyes within only a few short minutes. By the time the short was ending I was wishing for more. It also gave some House of Mouse vibes (which Disney if you’re going to reboot anything please oh please reboot House of Mouse!). Overall it was a fun short to see just how much animation Disney has done over the last 100 years. While some voice actors are no longer with us, it was very heartwarming and comforting to hear even clips of their character voices. If you get a chance I’d encourage you to check it out. It’s quick and packs a lot of character jokes and charm. If you love Disney and have grown up with Disney I would watch it and get all the feels for your favorite popular and obscure characters. For some extra fun zoom in on the group picture and see how many Disney characters you can name their movie!
Anyway keep nerding out and I’ll see you tomorrow!
