What is up people! We are 2 days away from the new My Hero Academia movie called Heroes Rising! I’m super excited about the movie so I’m going to give my thoughts on what I think will happen.
A little disclaimer: I’m only making predictions based on the trailers that have been dropped.
So I am really happy to see that this movie will give us a chance to see all of class 1-A perform as true heroes. I’m interested to see how they set this up, since we know everyone didn’t get their provisional license. From the trailer we can see the class doing different acts across this city/island, each playing to their strength. Ultimately, I know the story is going to center on Deku and Bakugo fighting together against this new bad guy.
I’m still team #Todoroki, although it looks like he’ll be playing a more supportive role in the film. I wish this wasn’t the case, since we’ve seen how both he and Deku can fight together. It would be pretty cool to see the three main characters fighting together. I feel like this is what a anime movie is supposed to be for, exploring different scenarios and showcasing more depth in the characters.
It DOES look like we’ll get to see Tokoyami in action. Which I’m all for because I’d love to see his Dark Shadow in more battles. I have to say I don’t think I’m going to get to see my other best boy Shoji in much of the action 😔, but I will keep hope alive! He really needs to be utilized more. I just want to see him have two super powerful moves that amps his power comparable to Deku and the other top people in class 1-A.
But enough about the heroes. Let’s talk about this villian. I’m going to go ahead and put it out there, that I am probably going to like the sidekicks more than the main villian. His name is Nine(cool I guess) and he can steal quirks. His sidekicks though! They look dope👌🏾. From the looks of the trailer he’s going to be after these two kids that live on the island. The kids will develop relationships with Deku and Bakugo, causing them to become their protectors. Seems awfully similar to an already established storyline, or you could say a mixture of the two. I’m not knocking it, but I hope the story is told differently.
Speaking of Bakugo, did y’all see the clip of him getting a powerup?!?! He and Deku have this Super Saiyan moment and that’s honestly the ONLY reason why I want to see the movie. Let me find out Bakugo got this amazing powerup to rival Deku! But you know who’d look even better with a powerup?? That’s right BEST BOY TODOROKI! Can you imagine his half white half red hair glowing like the true Super Saiyan he could be??? Man Kohei Horikoshi please make it happen!!
Well, those are my thoughts of the new My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising Movie! I can’t wait to see it this Wednesday February 26th! Y’all be sure to check your theaters near you for the movie!
