My Happy Marriage Quick Review

What’s up Nerds!

Spoiler alert 5

Today’s anime review is for My Happy Marriage. This anime is adapted from the light novel series of the same name. You can currently watch the anime on Netflix.

It’s about a girl named Miyo who is in a loveless family. She’s treated as a servant by her stepmother and her half sister. Her father regards her with little favor and doesn’t acknowledge her as the eldest. Anything that would have gone to her is given to her younger sister Kaya. Miyo keeps her head down and serves the household with grace and humility despite being belittled at every turn.

Miyo finds solace in her friend Kouji who helps her with her chores around the house. He is from a neighboring family that has some wealth. Miyo enjoys his company and truly considers him a friend. This is unfortunate for Miyo though, because her sister caught wind of her maybe bugging feelings for Kouji. Kaya is obsessed with ruining her sister’s life. She wants nothing more but to see her cry and be in despair.

One night Miyo was summoned back one night in front of her father, and it was announced that she would be meeting her fiance. Her fiance is rumored to be cold and cruel, making his previoud fiancess flee. However there is more to discover as we Miyo get to know Kiyoka.

Overall it’s definitely giving light novel/webcomic so you know I was hooked. After watching the first few episodes I know I’m going to finish it. I love the art style it’s nice and soft and cozy. I love the coziness of the show. But there is plenty of drama and action to keep everyone involved in the story. Overall I would give this 4 Nerd Light stars out of 5. I can’t wait to see how Miyo and Kiyoka overcome their obstacles to find love together.

That’s all from me, keep nerding out!
