Favorite Female Leads

What’s up Nerds!

We’ve made it into a new theme and it’s all about Webcomics! Let me know what your favorite webcomic is in the comments!

Before I get into my favorite female leads let me talk about some of my favorite characteristics to make a great female lead.

She’s able to stand up for herself

Too often we’re introduced to Female Leads who feel like they aren’t capable of making any decisions on their own. Every time a crisis happens, they have to run to the Male Lead to save them. Not these FLs. They know how to have their own opinion about a situation and make the best decision for them. While they may be interested in the Male Lead, they won’t let those emerging feelings deter them from the task at hand.

They love and care for their family(can be found family) and friends

These women know what it’s like to be isolated and left behind, so they take that much more care of those who they love. They make sure their people are taking care of and that their voices are heard. They don’t mind putting their honor on the line if that means they get to prove the innocence of those around them. These women also know how to spot true friends and tend to garner the favor of those not in their immediate friend circle.

She always keeps her integrity.

No matter what happens or what’s at stake, this FL won’t undermine her morals. She knows that even if she does what she wants to do, if it’s to the determent of someone else it’s not worth it. She stands up for what’s right and instills both loyalty and adoration for those who serve or work with her.

Alright. Now that you have an idea of what kind of female protagonist I’m reading let’s get into the list!

Elena Evoy (Elena Evoy)

She’s smart and a hard-worker. She doesn’t let the fortune of her family keep her from achieving her dreams. Elena despite her hardships doesn’t curse her mother for being sick or even for her father for passing away leaving them with hardly any wealth. She picks herself up and works. She works to provide for her mother and she works hard in school to become the top of the class. Even though she tends to keep to herself her genuine and caring nature can’t help but to drawn people. One person being the Male Lead Johann. She doesn’t realize how much he has fallen for her. And she’s so excited when they are together. But even when she’s parted from Johann for unexplained reasons, she trusts his character knowing he will find himself back to her. Elena was dependable and deeply valued her friendships she made along the way.

Reniae (The Golden Forest)

Reniae of the Golden Forest. She is probably one of the strongest female protagonists I have read. Stuck in a love triangle full of misunderstandings and deceit. Renaie holds strong to her love despite not knowing if he feels the same. She endure servitude at the expense of someone else’s interest in her, all while waiting for the chance to break free. Despite her curse she pushes forward to protect the one she loves from the one who loves her. Even as she’s reunited with her love, she doesn’t hesitate to protect him by going back to her servitude. She continues to show how strong and how loving she is to put it all on the line for her beloved.

Tara Elias (I’ll Save this Damned Family)

Tara has gone back in time in an attempt to save her family. She knows people won’t take her seriously because she’s the 5th child, but that doesn’t stop her from forming the alliances she needs to keep her family safe. She works hard to become the head of the family, while helping Prince Kyle and his plan to ascend to the throne. Tara relies on her intellect and people skills to get the information she’ll need to help Prince Kyle. She’s not scared to share her opinions and she continues to work toward saving her family even if they treat her like she’s the ugly duckling.

Those are some of my favorite female protagonists! You can find all these series Eleana Envoy, The Golden Forest and I’ll Save this Damned Family on Manta. Tell what’s your favorite character trait for female leads in the comments. Happy reading and keep nerding out
