Back in 2018 I had been toying with starting a blog and a podcast for a while. I kept pushing it back and pushing it back. I was working some other job at the time, but I knew it was God chasing me down with the blog idea and others I hope I can make happen. I mean I was thinking about it every day. How could I start it? What would I write about? Why would anyone want to read what I had to say about games and anime? I mean this wasn’t even the first time I tried to write a blog. I wanted to start one about mental health, that was in 2015. And then I wanted to start one that focused on millennials (I actually got that idea from a podcast I used to listen to with the same name) and this was in 2016. At the time, I didn’t think about the positives that could have come from just writing.
Now back in 2018 I had finally started this blog. I wanted to talk about games and anime. I wanted to ask some interesting but difficult questions. I actually also launched a podcast back in 2018, but realized there was still so much I didn’t know. That’s still true. So fast forward to 2019 and I haven’t written a single blog post for like 6 or 7 months. All the motivation I had from 2018 did not carry over. I was in a writing slump for a while. It wasn’t only just that either, I was also feel major pangs of inadequacy. Knowing that I didn’t want to stay in this slump forever, I came up with the #NowstheTime campaign. In a way, it helped me get my confidence back, it helped me find my writer’s voice. And by stepping out of my comfort zone, the site was able to be seen by so many people.
Is the site where I want it to be? Of course not. I have many more ideas and plans for my site in the future. But for now we celebrate how far the blog has come. We’ve made it to 100 posts. 100 posts! Wow. I really can’t believe it. I wanted to make my 100th post something like a kind of introspection. To let you, reader, know that I really appreciate you. Thank you for taking the time to read any of my posts. Thank you for every like and for every comment. You all are amazing and I hope the community continues to grow. I want to make this a place where you can speak your mind and ask the questions everyone is asking. As November is coming to an end, I look forward to finishing strong.
I’m so happy to be doing this, writing what I love and passionate about. I can wait to bring new ideas and new content to the site. So if you’ve been rocking with me, keep coming back! I love you guys! Peace!
Well written
