What’s up Nerds! Back in October is was revealed that Sora was going to be the final addition to the Super Smash Bros Ultimate game. Many Kingdom Hearts fans such as my self, were ecstatic that he was actually added to the game. But there was a bit of discontent with the final choice.

First of all I want to acknowledge the one character that they absolutely should have included and that’s Waluigi. OUt of all of the possible contenders, Waluigi should have been added. I mean come on you literally have every other character from the Mario franchise EXCEPT Waluigi. I mean the disrespect. Nevertheless I still stand by Sora being the final choice to add to the game.

Disney is trying to secure the bag (bag= getting money)

We all know how stingy Disney is whenever it comes to anything related to their property. Many of us though that there wouldn’t be a chance for Sora to be added because we all believed there would be NO WAY Disney would allow him to be added to another game. But if you’ve noticed over the last year especially, Kingdom Hearts has been slowly making it’s way onto other consoles. For years Kingdom Hearts was a pretty much a Sony exclusive franchise. If you didn’t have a PlayStation 2 you weren’t playing it.

That was until Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days was release on Nintendo DS back in 2009. So since Nintendo has been building a business relationship with Disney for years it’s really not that surprising Sora was the last character added. Not only does it introduce Sora to wider audience, drawing more interest for the franchise, but his presence helps solidify the Disney and Nintendo collaborations for the future.

Sora is an dynamic character

Sora has been around for a long time and as such has picked up a few moves along the way. He has the standard moves with his keyblade He also has plenty of different designs to choose from. While there were other picks for this final slot, Sora just makes sense. He can use physical and magical attacks fully rounding out his move set. There are also plenty of callbacks to the main games in the series. As a reminder of his teachings from Donald, Sora has brought over some magic attacks. His most used being Firaga, Blizzaga and Thundaga.

It completes the Ultimate Crossover

If you were one of the folks that wanted to see Sora into the game then this is the ultimate crossover. I mean think about it when else are you going to be able a character like Mario or Donkey Kong? Or my ultimate crossover fight being Sora vs Link! There are so many options for you to have your crossover dream. What would it be like to fight a character like Ridley or Bowser? Or how about a rematch with Sephiroth or Cloud? You’re an “OG” fan if you remember what it was like to fight against Sephiroth in the Coliseum. Super Smash Bros Ultimate is the crossover of crossovers. Other companies have tried to do it, but nothing can compare to Super Smash. And now the roster has been completed with the best character, Sora. I said what I said!
