Hey Nerds!
We know that a certain holiday is coming up in the next week. I don’t necessarily care about this holiday because of its history but that’s another post for another day. One thing that I love during this holiday time is get-togethers with friends. Unless you have a strained relationship with your family, it’s pretty much a given that you’ll see them. But I think there’s something special about having a Friendsgiving.
It’s a special time when you can get all your friends together. It’s so significant because we all have busy lives we’re all doing all of the things ALL of the time. The holidays give us a moment to take a break from the busyness and pause. When friends come together you get to hear all that’s happening in their lives while you were away, and you get to share too. Bonus points if you’re able to take a retreat and go somewhere new. I remember a couple of years ago my friends and I were able to go stay in a cabin in the mountains. It was an awesome trip and we got to even see it snow! I loved being able to make new memories with them. These kinds of experiences fill my friendship tank and tide me over until the next time I see them.
During your Friendsgiving, I’d also recommend trying new food. If you have a pretty diverse friend group, Friendsgiving Is a perfect time to try new foods from different cultures. For instance, for our Friendsgiving, our friends from Peru are making arrow chaufa. I love having an opportunity to try something new. Not luckily Arroz chaufa is good but you know your friends best so help one out if they aren’t the cook in the group haha 😂.
If you couldn’t tell I love getting together with friends. It does energize me and fills up my love tank. I hope you guys have people you can share your holiday with. Love you guys and keep nerding out!
