Episode Summary
The show picks up where we left off with Mr. Hyoudo watching Retsuko as she makes her Death Voice video for TubeTube. Retsuko is taken aback with his discover of her. Hyoudo returns to Mananka in their karaoke room. Manaka notes that their songs aren’t listed on the karaoke song list, but there’s 270,00 songs. Hyoudo mentions it’s like dropping sand in a desert. Manaka wants to know how will OTM not get buried in the mass of songs? Hyoudo replies that he will think of a solution. The next day Retsuko is trying to pay back Washimi the money she borrowed. When Washimi asks why is she acting nervous, Retsuko remarks that she wants to keep it from Gori. When Gori spots them, Washimi says they were just reminiscing on when they used to hang out together after work.
At the end of the next OTM concert, Hyouduo reveals the new song they will be putting out. The girls are shocked because the sound is the polar opposite of what they are used to singing. Hyoudou states this song will be like a sea urchin in a desert. Hyoudo announces that he will be taking Manaka off of the lead vocals for the new song and replacing her with Retsuko and her death voice. As Retsuko recounts the story to Washimi, Gori runs into them and again asks what they are talking about. They both lie and say they were thinking about when they were hanging out.
The next day at work Retsuko walks by Haida and Inui talking in the hallway. She says good morning, and Haida looks flustered. In the breakroom he hurriedly explains to Retsuko that Inui was just a junior asking him for advice in the workplace. They chat and ask each other hypothetical questions that outline their situations. Haida feels as though Retsuko is keeping something from him. He happens to be on the same elevator as Gori. They ask each other if something is going on with Retsuko. Developing a kinship they go out drinking to complain about being left out of the loop.
At the next OTM concert, Retsuko apologizes to Hyoudou for rejecting his offer. He says not to worry about it and they continue to set up for the concert. As Retsuko moves to the green room with the OTM members, she sees her TubeTube video on Manaka’s phone. Manaka says that its obviously Retsuko in the video and that she looks happy singing death voice. She wanted to know why Retsuko turned down the offer. Before Retsuko can answer, Manaka says it if she declined because she felt bad for her, then she should stop. Manaka voices how upset it makes her. Retsuko counters by stating that she is 25 and is too old to be trying to be an idol. Manaka disapproves and says she’s 26. Manaka is true to herself and states no one is going to stop my dream. OTM performs and Manaka sets up the stage for their new song. Retsuko in the crowd is shaken and states that Hyoudou needs to change the song bcack. He quicky replies that he’s not going to change the song. Retsuko watches in shock as the group continues as planned. Hyoudou says the intro is almost over and the song will be a disaster if she doesn’t go sing. So Retsuko goes on stage and sings. Hyoudou says it’s the start of a new chapter of “Agressie Retusko”.
My Reaction/Review
Wow! I was not expecting Hyoudou to put Retsuko in the group! And then to see Manaka booted off lead was also super surprising. However, Manaka handled it like a G and let Retsuko know how she really feels. I understand how Manaka feels. She knows that in order to reach her ultimate goals, she has to see how certain ideas will benefit the group as a whole not just her personal goals. I like that Washimi and Retsuko are getting closer, but feel that they could be having the Gori situation better. Although it has led to what looks to be a very funny friendship between Haida and Gori. I don’t think there is supposed to be any romance between the two since Haida has been introduced to Inui.
Speaking of Inui! Did y’all see that look Inui had when Retsuko passed by and Haida started blushing. Inui was looking at him like, “Oh I know she ain’t the one that’s got you blushing.” Inui’s look was a mood and I was hear for it. I do think it’s a little annoying that Retsuko never knows that Haida is talking about her in his hypothetical scenario. We all know that when someone is proposing a hypothetical they are really talking about themselves. Is Retsuko really that gullible? Or is she just acting like she doesn’t know what Haida is talking about. Let me just say this now, but Inui doesn’t look like she’s playing games when it comes to Haida.
Moving on from the office romance to Retsuko’s debut a pop idol. While reluctant to join, I just feel like Retsuko is going to really enjoy herself while she’s on stage. I can’t wait to see how OTM progresses muscially and as artist with Retsuko in the group. I’m rooting for you OTM!
Well that’s it for episode! I can’t wait to see you guys in my next review, peace!
