Hello Nerd Lighters! Today we’re reviewing Ep. 2 of Aggretsuko season 3. Remember spoilers!!
The episode starts with Fenneko setting up the VR she just recently bought. This was her attempt to prove that this wasn’t as good as Retsuko said it would be. But little did she know she was just about to be swept away in the sweetness that is the unicorn Seiya.

Next we’re back with Retsuko and the scary leopard/jaguar guy, exchanging information. He decides he is leaving the scene of the accident although she pleads with him to stay. Retsuko being questioned by the police and remarks that she didn’t ask for any info from the scary jaguar guy. The police state until he contacts her, there’s not much they can do. The next day she contacts her insurance company and her agent informs there that she hasn’t reached her deductible, so to replaced any damages it’s going to be pretty expensive.
She knows she doesn’t have that money so she’s pretty grim at work.So much so that when Kanabe comes to offer sweets, Retsuko takes a handful so she can have something to eat at lunch. She doesn’t have enough money to pay for the damages she did to the minivan and she’s anticipating what the scary-jaguar minivan guy is going to say. Is he going to try to feign an injury to get more money? Is he going to take everything she owns for the damages? Haida tries to invite her out to eat, but he’s turned down saying she doesn’t have enough money to go eat.
She resolves to borrowing money, and she goes to Gori for help. She soons finds out that Gori can’t help since she just got a very expensive townhouse. She did it to back herself into a corner to work harder on her matchmaking app. So of course Retsuko can’t ask for money now and instead states she’s interested in participating in her app.

Haida upset at not drinking with Retsuko goes with Anai and doesn’t believe his girlfriend is real. They both go back to Anai’s house so Haida can meet her. Retsuko goes and meets the scary jaguar minivan guy after getting a call from him. He draws up a settlement agreement, because he doesn’t want to go through the hassle of contacting the insurance companies. The agreement is pretty fair, despite Retsuko’s doubts. Retsuko has said she will take responsibility and pay the 200,000 yen that’s owed, even if she has to get side jobs. The scary jaguar minivan guy asks her if she has anything in mind and she says no. In response to this he takes her to this basement like club. Retsuko then sees and meets O.T. M. a three-girl idol group performing. Jaguar guy then starts headbanging to try to get the crowd more hype.
Wow there was a major discovery in this episode! Who knew that scary jaguar minivan guy likes idol groups?? And he definitely seemed like a hype-man. My favorite part I think of the episode was Fenneko at the beginning falling absolutely in love with the VR game she gave Retsuko so much flack about. I hope she’s more conscious with her money, but it would be cool to see Fenneko fall for someone, get a workplace romance started haha. Also, poor Haida. I know I said this last time, but he seems almost too passive? Like I get that he’s trying, but I don’t know, I just wish he’d try a different tactic.
This was a nice 2nd episode! Something tells me we’re going to be seeing a lot of the O.T.M. girls so I can’t wait! What did you guys think of “Deep in the Hole” Let me know in the comments! Peace!
