5 Updates We Need in Animal Crossing

I (and most gamers in quaratine) have been playing Animal Crossing every single day since I received my copy at the beginning of April. I love this game and I enjoy checking into my island to see how everyone is doing. But since I’ve been playing for almost 2 months, I’ve realized there are some much needed updates to make the gaming experience that much sweeter. I’ve narrowed it down to my top 5 updates we need in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

1: We NEED a skip button.

I really don’t know why we don’t have this button. We do so many things in repetition. This game is based off of us doing certain tasks in repetition ex: chopping down trees, hitting rocks, and catching fish. So it wouldn’t be that far of a stretch to think that we may want to visit many mystery islands or ask repeatedly about our island rating. And let’s face it, who wouldn’t want to skip all of Blather’s dialog? Same with the dodos in the airport. I don’t need to hear Wilbur explain that he thought I died every time I get bit by a scorpion. So please PLEASE PLEASE add a skip option.

2. Batch buying

I know this one is another no brainer when it comes to what we are looking for regarding updates. I can’t tell you how annoying it is to not be able to buy multiple things at the Abel Sister’s Clothing Store. Not just them, but with Leif too. I don’t need to go through the back and forth just to buy three bags of rose seeds. I know they have a bundle option, but again what if I only need 2 or 3. Going back to the clothing store, why wouldn’t I have some kind of shopping bag when I look outside.

3. Villager tracker

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been wondering around my island looking for a certain villager. I need to know where these animals are! Instead of highlighting their house just highlight them. I don’t think it would be that bad of an update. You could even add an on/off feature for those who want to find their villagers by exploring. But I don’t need to know where their house is because more than likely, I’m the one who put it there! Anyway, I tracker would be very nice lol.

4. Announcement for who is visiting the island (Flick, CJ, Label etc…)

So Isabelle does her daily announcements and she even lets you know if there is a visitor in your campsite. I just wish there was an announcement for who is coming to your island that day. And to be honest I don’t really care about anyone else besides Flick. I NEED to know when Flick is coming so I can go and collect scorpions and any other high priced bug. It would be nice to know when Redd is coming too, so I can get my cash (bells) right. Isabelle can just casually mention who might be stopping by to do business that day. Or if they wanted it to be a surprise, she could say a clue or something. Either way, I’m tired of running around my island or getting scared because CJ is walking around in the early morning.

5. Play/Preview before you buy a K.K. Slider song

New Horizons is my first Animal Crossing game and entry into this world of Nooklings, Isabelle and K.K. Slider. Because of this, I’m being introduced to his whole discography. It would be really cool to have a preview button. Everyday I go to the ATM to do some shopping in the special goods section. I’m always looking for a new K.K. Slider song, but I hate spending 3200 bells on something I don’t even know if I’ll like. K. K. ain’t cheap.

I’ve seen some cool updates, but the ones I’ve listed would definitely be the most practical. Let me know what’s your favorite thing about Animal Crossing New Horizons! Peace!
